Bio Logical focuses on achieving the next level in biological services. In addition to our certification as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Woman Business Enterprise (WBE), Bio Logical is certified as a Nevada Emerging Small Business (ESB), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), and Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB).
Bio Logical, LLC was formed in 2015 by CEO and lead biologist Alana Wise. Bio Logical is the manifestation of Alana’s existing relationships with agency personnel and her experience over 15 years in managing multiple projects and large-scale field teams. The formation of Bio Logical allowed for an even greater partnering of highly experienced biologists, creating a core of highly skilled key personnel. We operate with an employee base of 12 seasoned personnel (with a combined experience of 126 years!) and have a call list of over 270 short term employees and contractors that can be called upon to meet the needs of any project.
Our home office is in Boulder City, Nevada and has access to an assemblage of biologists who specialize in a variety of skills. Specialities include burrowing owl, raven, rare plants and noxious weeds, desert bighorn sheep, nesting birds, flat-tailed horned lizard, Utah prairie dog, sage grouse, and kit foxes, in addition to full spectrum desert tortoise services. Our industry experience includes research projects, post translocation monitoring, large and small scale solar, transmission, pipelines, wind, mines, and roads. Our team has worked at every level of environmental consulting, allowing us to see each project’s unique challenges and apply the appropriate solutions.
Research efforts have included disease monitoring, highway passage, home range monitoring/translocation, and husbandry. We encompass a multi-state understanding of project mitigation measures and coordinate efforts between biological crews, contractors and BLM representatives. Bio Logical can provide environmental permitting, support services for NEPA and CEQA, surveys, technical reports, construction monitoring, rare plant and noxious weed inventories, avian services, and other specialized species services.
